These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and ChoreoPocket, operated by Gerald Lovelace (“ChoreoPocket,” “we,” “us”). By installing or using the ChoreoPocket app or the ChoreoCloud service, you agree to these Terms.
The service
ChoreoPocket is a choreography studio for dancers, teachers, and studios. The free tier gives you a limited number of projects. Paid plans (collectively, “Teacher Plus”) unlock unlimited projects, sharing, and other premium features described inside the app.
Your account
You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Notify us atinfo@choreopocket.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
Subscriptions, billing, and renewal
- Auto-renewing subscription. Teacher Plus is sold as an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Renewal. Your subscription automatically renews at the price shown on the paywall unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Managing or canceling. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings on your device (Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions). Cancelations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store’s standard policy. We do not process refunds directly.
- Free trial. If your plan includes a free trial, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
Your content
You retain all rights to the choreography projects, audio recordings, video takes, notes, and formations you create with ChoreoPocket (your “Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, copy, transmit, cache, and display your Content solely to provide the service to you and to anyone you explicitly share a project with.
You are responsible for having the rights to any third-party music, audio, or video you bring into the app. ChoreoPocket does not grant you any rights to copyrighted material owned by others. Streaming-service tracks (Apple Music) remain governed by the streaming service’s own terms.
Some features are only available when a project uses a music file you own on your device. Because streamed music stays inside Apple Music, sharing a project that uses Apple Music requires each collaborator to have their own Apple Music subscription, on-device stem (music) separation is not available for streamed tracks, and streamed audio cannot be included in shared or exported projects. For those features, we recommend using local music files you own.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload material you do not have the right to use;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or interfere with the app or service;
- use ChoreoPocket to harass or harm others;
- resell, sublicense, or rent the service without our written permission.
Third-party services
ChoreoPocket integrates with Apple Music and other services at your option. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for their content or availability.
Termination
You can stop using ChoreoPocket at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to ChoreoCloud if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, your locally stored projects remain on your device.
Disclaimer
ChoreoPocket is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular feature will continue to be supported.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChoreoPocket’s total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the effective date above and, when meaningful, communicated inside the app or by email. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the operator of ChoreoPocket resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
